Located less than a mile from the centre of Peterborough, the stadium was built in 1930s and remained in use until 2020. The premises have remained untouched since its closure, although the site was latterly used for storage by local companies.

This demolition job saw the site completely cleared, with Anglian undertaking soft strip, full demolition and sub-structure removal across all buildings on the site, including hospitality areas, seating and the track itself.

A vast range of materials including metal, wood and general waste have been extracted and sent for processing and recycling locally, to help minimise road miles from transporting it off-site.

Anglian has crushed the concrete into Type 1, which is to be used as a sublayer for roads, pathways and driveways for the next phase of works.
