Mary Chapman Court – Norwich

Project timescale:
14 Weeks

Three of Anglian's divisions were involved in this prestigious project in the heart of Norwich City Centre.

Asbestos Removal and Soft Stripping took place first to make the buildings ready for Demolition, Two weeks before completion of these works our Scaffolding Division erected all required scaffolding protection to aid the demolition works.

Once these works were complete we bought in a 24 ton Demolition spec excavator to munch out the central concrete walkways making room for our 22m High Reach excavator to get into site.

Now the High reach was on site the real demolition works began and it didn’t take long for the building to be reduced to rubble.

Once the rubble was removed from site our teams on site installed 40 tons of propping and formwork in the remaining basement to support the retaining wall which runs along the river which took 167m3 of concrete.

Once these works were completed the site was graded and left for the new development to take place.

  • 94.98 Tons of Scrap Metal Removed from site
  • 4.76 Tons of Wood Removed from site
  • 51.02 Tons of General Waste Removed from site
  • 2605.20 Tons of Mixed Hardcore Removed from site
