Anglian Demolition & Asbestos were awarded the Demolition contract for Cygnet House, Long Stratton; a former Norfolk dementia care home, which had been derelict since 2006. Within 6 weeks, the Anglian team were able to demolish the building which had stood empty for 8 years, then clearing the site.

The site was left ready for South Norfolk Council to redevelop this land and with housing and a modern, two storey,  business development offices which local companies will be able to take advantage of.

  • 28.2 tons of wood removed from site, with a 100% recycling rate
  • 71.52 tons of general waste removed from site, with a 95.39% recycling rate
  • 27.32 tons of scrap metal removed from site, with a 100% recycling rate
  • 2706.47 tons of crushed concrete produced, with a 100% recycling rate
  • 7.34 tons of plasterboard removed from site, with a 90% recycling rate
  • 12.91 tons of green waste removed from site, with an 80% recycling rate
