Demolition Division
11,058 Tons of Waste Removed
13 Weeks

Anglian were contracted to demolish the existing Allied Bakeries factory down to slab and lift the concrete slabs.

Allied Bakeries, based in Norwich, produced well-known household brands such as, Kingsmill, Allinson and Sunbelts, however decided to shut down operations in their Norwich division because too much work was needed to modernise the site to make it viable. Anglian carried out the demolition process, assisted by our asbestos and scaffolding teams. Once the demolition phase was complete, our earthworks division carried out work to prepare the site ready for the 17 new units that were planned.

All departments of the group were involved with this project keeping all aspects of the project in house, aiding with the smooth running and achieving the deadline completion date.

“The teams on site were, as usual, well organised and are a credit to Anglian.”
