Anglian Demolition and Asbestos have soared past £5,000 in fundraising for Star Throwers, a Wymondham-based Norfolk cancer charity, with donations still rolling in.
Eleven brave staff members from Anglian Demolition and the Kier Group took part in a thrilling 13,000 ft skydive, all in support of the charity’s work with cancer patients and their families.
Toni Storer, Director at Anglian Demolition, said:
“It was exhilarating to take part in, and yes, a bit scary! But knowing it was for such an important cause kept us all going. We’re proud to support Star Throwers.”
“As a community-focused business, our staff took on the adrenaline-fueled challenge to give back in a big way, literally leaping into action to make a difference. It was a thrilling day, but more importantly, the money raised will help so many people living with Cancer.”
Star Throwers is dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer. They provide information sessions to help people to become well-informed about their cancer and treatment options and help people to manage the effects of their cancer and cancer treatments through their wellbeing services.
Sam Brown, CEO of Star Throwers praised the Norfolk company, commenting:
“What a fantastic achievement! A very big thank you to the Anglia Demolition and the Keir Group Skydiving Team for raising so much money to support Star Throwers. Since, 2016 this much-loved charity has supported over 4,000 people affected by cancer and this helps us to continue with delivering our valued services.”
Donations are still being accepted via their JustGiving page, helping to support Star Throwers’ vital work.
